Hasegawa Corporation are holding their first exhibition in Tokyo. The company’s specialities are yarns made of natural fibres, mainly silk but this time they are showcasing their new project raising “From yarn to knit products” as its theme.

 Hasegawa Corporation is a yarn supplier based in Ichinomiya, Aichi, which has started from wholesaling dyed silk yarn. The company still mainly manufactures silk yarns but it continues its growth by creating fancy yarn mixing other materials such as cotton, wool, mohair, and linen. Trying reach out to market and customer’s needs, they have developed their technique to create knitted swatches and even finished products. This was achieved by introducing facilities such as yarn twisting machines, circular knitting machines and flat knitting machines from 3 gauge to 16 gauge.

Their finished products as a new project was born as tools to promote yarn sales. The number of orders for finished products has been increasing more and more since the beginning. One of the biggest reasons for this is the production is done in the company’s own facilities from yarn to finished products and this enables shorter lead-time and cost-saving. In this exhibition, they introduce their whole business from yarn manufacturing to knit product at a show-space 130 square-meters.

The yarn collection will range from silk, cashmere, wool, organic cotton’s straight, mixed and fancy yarn. Knitted products such as sweater, socks, caps and scarves will be newly added to it to promote their new project.
