“Our company has skilled workers who can master machines according to the shape of yarn, but recently, young people are also prominently active,” said Yoko Hasegawa, president of Hasegawa corporation, a silk manufacturer.
The youngest people who are growing rapidly are three female employees from Ichinomiya Commercial High School who have been in the company for the fourth year. Women who are good at English deal with major overseas apparel makers in the overseas division. The other is making PR videos for wholesale and consumer products. The other is a domestic sales assistant who gives accurate instructions to the manufacturing department.
President Hasegawa hopes that all three will further refine their areas of expertise and grow significantly.
