The company began selling “mask kits” containing silk jersey fabrics, patterns, and instructions on how to make masks in February. Even during the shortage of masks due to the new coronavirus, they continued to supply new masks, and cumulative sales exceeded 20,000 pieces in May. They were particular about setting prices that were easy to buy, and product planning and development with a sense of speed was successful.

 

President Masaru Hasegawa says, “Masks will become a fashion item in the future. Currently, we are selling masks suitable for wearing in hot summer. Mainly launches “Silk Breath Mask” designed to allow air to escape under the chin.”

 

There are also active movements in anticipation of expanding the D2C business. Pick up customer feedback at the direct sales shop and online shop of the head office opened in March. They are also energetically working to increase their appeal on SNS.
